Accelerated Setup Process and Augmented Flexibility Revealed in Latest KLANG Operating System Version
KLANG Technologies, a leading manufacturer in personal mixing systems, has announced the launch of its newest operating system, KOS 5.5. This latest update is now available for free download on the app store.
One of the key features of KOS 5.5 is the improved integration with DiGiCo consoles. The DiGiCo Console Integration 'Lite' in KOS 5.5 ensures that console and KLANG channel labels stay in sync, and snapshots are fired simultaneously on Quantum or SD-Range consoles. This integration will be fully realized with DiGiCo's newest software release, V1742.
KOS 5.5 also simplifies and significantly reduces setup time for KLANG's second-generation devices, including :konductor, :kontroller, and :vokal, as well as DiGiCo's DMI-KLANG card.
Another significant improvement is the new Dante Follow update. This update simplifies the separation of Dante and Control networks, improving Dante network stability and latency headroom. As a result, Dante channels can now be automatically patched to a KLANG mix directly from find my device and KLANG:kontroller without the need for Dante Controller.
The KOS 5.5 app has been updated to allow for easier management of connected devices. System administrators can now oversee connected :kontrollers and :apps, identify devices that require setup for a show, and apply software updates to multiple devices simultaneously.
The app also includes a feature for scrolling through past notifications, providing a history of system events. This feature, along with the dedicated section for notifications, makes it easier for system administrators to keep track of system activities.
KLANG devices in KOS 5.5 can now format USB drives and copy their internal software version for software updates. This feature is particularly useful for updating devices offline or in situations where direct internet access is not available.
A notable improvement is the introduction of New Root-intensity EQ Presets. These presets enable quicker setup of a personal mixing system, making it easier for musicians to get started with KLANG.
Lastly, the KOS 5.5 app now includes a feature for managing connected devices, making it easier for system administrators to assist musicians. One such example is the intuitive and remote configuration of a DMI-KLANG mounted in an Orange Box, which can now be done without the need for the Orange Box controller software.
With KOS 5.5, KLANG Technologies continues to push the boundaries of personal mixing systems, offering a more efficient, user-friendly, and versatile solution for sound management.
