Ad Industry Shake-up: BBH Appoints Alex Grieve, Renown UK Advertising Figure, as Global Creative Head

In a significant move for the advertising industry, Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) has announced the appointment of Alex Grieve as its new Global and U.K. Chief Creative Officer. Grieve, one of the U.K.'s top creative leaders, is moving from Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to take up his new role.

Grieve will be based in London, BBH's founding office, where he has previously served as Executive Creative Director, working on notable campaigns such as Tesco Mobile's "Online safety." His extensive experience within the agency, culminating in his promotion to global chief creative officer, highlights his impact and extensive experience at BBH.

Grieve's tenure at BBH is set to start in April. He will co-chair the agency network's global board with Annette King, the CEO of Publicis Groupe U.K. In his new position, he will lead the creative council, working with creatives from across BBH's worldwide offices.

The appointment comes after Joakim "Jab" Borgström, who previously held the role of global creative chief, stepped down. Borgström had been the creative leader of BBH Singapore before becoming global creative chief in 2019.

BBH is a well-established global advertising agency, and Grieve's promotion to global creative chief indicates the agency's confidence in his abilities and vision. The agency is looking forward to the fresh perspectives and innovative ideas that Grieve is expected to bring to the table.

With Grieve at the helm, BBH is poised to continue its journey of creating groundbreaking advertising campaigns that resonate with audiences worldwide.

In his new role, Alex Grieve will lead the creative council and work with creatives from BBH's worldwide offices, merging his expertise in business and technology to shape the agency's future finance strategy. BBH's decision to promote Grieve as global creative chief showcases the agency's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative ideas within their business operations.
