Adecco Group enhances digital capabilities via acquisition of Qapa

The talent advisory and solutions giant, Adecco, has announced the acquisition of QAPA, a specialist in fully digital workforce solutions based in France, for an initial consideration of €65 million. This move is expected to bolster Adecco's digital offerings and strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving French market for digital workforce solutions.

QAPA, known for its digital recruitment and workforce management platform, brings a scalable solution to Adecco's portfolio. With over 500 customers, ranging from small and medium enterprises to blue-chip clients, and a talent base of approximately 4.5 million workers, QAPA is well-positioned to contribute to Adecco's growth.

The French market for digital workforce solutions is thriving, driven by digital transformation initiatives, the adoption of AI and automation, and growing demand for integrated digital workplace services supporting remote and hybrid work environments. France, along with the UK, Germany, and Nordic countries, is a key European market due to strong government and private sector investments in digital skills and workflow automation.

The acquisition of QAPA is expected to have several implications for the market. It is likely to strengthen Adecco’s position in the fully digital workforce market by adding a robust recruitment and workforce solution capability. The integration of QAPA's services is also expected to support the expansion of AI-driven talent sourcing, digital contract management, and employee lifecycle management, aligning with market demand for comprehensive digital workplace platforms.

Moreover, the acquisition could potentially fuel growth via expanded client access, improved technology stack, and enhanced service capabilities in line with France’s digital transformation strategies. However, specific details on QAPA’s acquisition and its immediate market impact were not found in the current search results and might require more specialized sources for further precision.

Adecco, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (ADEN), is the world's leading talent advisory and solutions company. With a culture of inclusivity, entrepreneurship, and teamwork, it has consistently ranked among the "World's Best Workplaces" by Great Place to Work®.

In addition to the acquisition of QAPA, Adecco has also announced plans to acquire BPI Group, strengthening its advisory capabilities in France. The group has also signed an agreement to divest its US-based Legal Solutions business. These moves are expected to accelerate the delivery of Adecco's strategy and financial commitments.

The acquisition of QAPA is expected to close at the end of Q3 2021. There is an earn out period through the end of 2023 for the acquisition, with the earn out consideration paid in four tranches, subject to the achievement of defined revenue and profitability levels. The acquisition will also support the design and upgrade of existing digitalised platforms in Adecco, including InFO and our Direct.
