AIC Launches SB407-VA: High-Density Storage Server for Data Centers

AIC has introduced the SB407-VA, a high-density storage server designed for data centers and large-scale data processing tasks. This 4U server, weighing approximately 80kg, fits into standard racks and offers modern features like DDR5 and PCIe Gen5.

The SB407-VA is built to accommodate 60 hot-swappable 3.5-inch HDD bays and 8 bays for 2.5-inch SSDs. This design reflects current SSD form factor standards, which favor smaller sizes like 2.5-inch or M.2 for greater capacity in limited rack space, a preference shared by data centers.

The server does not support 3.5-inch SSDs due to the space inefficiency of SSD form factors. Instead, it supports a mix of NVMe, SAS, and SATA connectivity. It is designed for AI tasks, data analytics, and large-scale data lakes, and includes built-in management tools for power, cooling, and system health monitoring.

The SB407-VA features front-to-back airflow, hot-swap redundant fans, and 800W redundant power supplies for reliability. It supports dual 4th and 5th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors.

The AIC SB407-VA is a robust, high-density storage server that balances capacity, performance, and reliability. Its modern features and efficient design make it well-suited for data centers and large-scale data processing tasks.
