Announced at Nintendo Indie World 2025: Mina the Hollower, along with other reveals, and a content warning

The Indie World 2025 showcase, held on August 7, revealed an array of new indie games set to grace the screens of Nintendo Switch 2 and original Switch players. Here's a roundup of some of the most anticipated titles announced during the event.

Mina the Hollower by Yacht Club Games, a dark, gothic-inspired action-adventure game, is scheduled for release on October 31, 2025. A free demo is already available for those eager to get a taste of this intriguing title.

Another highly anticipated game is Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, the follow-up to Ultimate Chicken Horse, which is slated for release on Switch and Switch 2 this holiday season.

Is This Seat Taken?, a chill quirky puzzle game, will launch on August 8, 2025. Players must find the appropriate seat for every character in this engaging game.

Herdling, an alpine expedition adventure, is also set for release on August 21, 2025. In this game, players lead their band of fuzzy monsters across stunning vistas.

UFO 50, a collection of 50 diverse games across genres, will be available on August 8, 2025, initially in Australia for Switch.

A far-future survival RPG called Glacier is a timed Switch 2 exclusive, scheduled for release this holiday. Players are tasked with protecting the ocean and discovering a world full of mysteries and dangers.

Well Dweller, a dark fairy tale adventure, is also scheduled for release in 2026 on the Switch, with compatibility for Switch 2 as well.

Several other titles, such as BALL x Pit and Neverway, were highlighted during the showcase. BALL x Pit is a brick-breaker roguelike announced by a developer with a lemon on his head, while Neverway is a dark take on the cozy farming sim genre, developed by former Celeste devs and scheduled for release in 2026.

The Indie World 2025 showcase emphasized a variety of genres, including action, adventure, puzzle, and collection games, catering to a wide indie audience across both consoles.

In addition, the Little Kitty Big City big picture update is scheduled for release on the Switch 2 later this year.

The latest Indie World showcase ended with a sizzle reel of several previously announced or released indies, reminding players of the wealth of indie games available on Nintendo Switch 2. Indie Worlds are dedicated exclusively to games from smaller teams, ensuring a continuous stream of innovative and unique games for players to enjoy.

With such a robust lineup of new indie games, the Nintendo Switch 2's indie library is set to grow even more diverse and exciting through 2025 and beyond.

Technology plays a significant role in the upcoming games as many of the titles, such as Mina the Hollower, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, UFO 50, Glacier, and UFO 50, will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. Entertainment, on the other hand, is the central focus of these games, providing players with diverse gaming experiences across various genres like action, adventure, puzzle, cozy farming, and collection games.
