Anticipated Details for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro: Launch Schedule, Aesthetics, Screen, Battery, and Further Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro, the latest addition to Samsung's flagship series, is set to make a splash in the smartphone market. Here's what we know so far.
The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to feature a sleek design with a glass back and aluminium frame, along with all buttons neatly arranged on the right side. The sides of the device are flat with slightly curved edges, offering a modern and ergonomic feel. The front of the device boasts a tiny punch-hole camera in the middle of the display, accompanied by slim and uniform bezels, contributing to its premium look.
One of the most notable improvements is the increase in battery capacity. The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to have a 4,300mAh batteries plus, an upgrade from the 4,000mAh battery on the S25. This should provide longer battery life for users.
In the camera department, the ultrawide sensor is expected to see a significant jump from 12MP to 50MP. Beyond the ultrawide sensor, improvements are expected across the camera system, promising enhanced photo and video capabilities.
Under the hood, Samsung is rumoured to use the custom Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for galaxy as the processor. This could translate to faster performance and smoother user experience. Moreover, the Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to have 16GB of RAM, a bump up from 12GB on the Galaxy S25, ensuring seamless multitasking.
The Galaxy S26 Pro is also tipped to have a pill-shaped camera island with three vertically stacked sensors, adding to its distinctive look. The device is expected to measure approximately 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm (including a 10.23mm camera bump), making it slightly larger than its predecessor, but still compact enough to be considered one of the more compact galaxy smartphones on the market.
Interestingly, the entire Galaxy S26 series is likely to feature built-in magnets, hinting at support for Qi2 magnetic wireless charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series, including the S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra models, is expected to launch in January 2026. Exact launch dates have yet to be revealed, but tech enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of these new devices.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro and the rest of the series.
