Argentum AI Secures Funding for Decentralized Compute Marketplace
Argentum AI, a Menlo Park-based startup, has secured funding for its decentralized computing marketplace. The platform, which enables users to monetize unused computing power, has raised funds led by cryptocurrency exchange Kraken.
Argentum AI uses blockchain technology for real-time bidding and settlement of computational tasks. The platform targets industries with massive and fluctuating computational needs, such as fintech and gaming.
The platform supports a wide range of tasks, including AI training, 3D rendering, and scientific simulations. It blends human oversight with AI-driven task matching and pricing strategies to ensure efficient use of resources.
Argentum AI has a native SPL token, AGP, which is used for computational services within the marketplace. The total supply of AGP tokens is fixed at one billion. Ethereum smart contracts hold funds in escrow until successful completion of tasks, ensuring secure and transparent transactions.
AGP tokens offer staking mechanisms for visibility, discounts, and governance rights, incentivizing users to participate in the network.
Argentum AI's decentralized compute marketplace aims to monetize idle processing power, creating a new class of 'GPU entrepreneurs'. With an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by Kraken, the startup is well-positioned to revolutionize the way computational tasks are handled, benefiting both task providers and consumers.
