Artificial Intelligence developers invited to participate in 0G's WaveHack Buildathon on AKINDO, eligible for a $50,000 grant.
On August 14, 2025, the 0G WaveHack buildathon, in collaboration with AKINDO, will commence. This six-wave AI-focused developer competition aims to foster growth in the 0G ecosystem by encouraging the creation of innovative AI applications on its decentralized Layer 1 blockchain.
The timeline for the event spans six waves, each lasting two weeks, although specific dates for each wave have not been disclosed.
To participate, developers are invited to sign up and submit their projects on the AKINDO platform. Aligning projects with 0G’s decentralized AI goals is essential to be eligible for the grants on offer.
The competition criteria focus on building AI-related projects that demonstrate innovation, creativity, and real-world applicability within the 0G blockchain ecosystem. Submissions will be judged based on factors such as working demo and functionality, 0G tech stack integration, creativity and user experience, real use case and scalability, and vision and roadmap.
Suggested tracks for development include a variety of onchain solutions that leverage 0G's tech stack, such as the creation of censorship-resistant and verifiable AI applications, AI-powered onchain chatbots or personal assistants, decentralized social media with user-owned AI feeds, NFT marketplaces with dynamic, AI-generated traits, games featuring AI for NPCs, world generation, or player analytics, and the development of Intelligent NFTs (INFTs) and developer tools using 0G's modular infrastructure.
The best teams in the final wave will receive a grant of $13,000, and participants who complete all six waves will earn an additional $2,000. This buildathon presents a unique opportunity for developers to showcase their work, earn financial incentives, and contribute to the growth of the 0G AI ecosystem.
