Association for 8K Technology Unveils Insights at CEDIA and Commercial Integrator Expositions
8K Technology Takes Centre Stage at CEDIA Expo/CIX 2025
The 8K revolution is gathering momentum, and the upcoming CEDIA Expo/Commercial Integrator Expo (CIX) 2025 in Denver is set to be a pivotal event in this exciting journey. The 8K Association is making the expo a must-attend destination for integrators, brands, and content owners, showcasing a comprehensive roadmap for 8K adoption.
Juan Reyes, Executive Director of the 8K Association, states that the goal at CEDIA Expo is to demonstrate how 8K technology provides a more immersive and super-realistic viewing experience. To achieve this, the Association has organised a series of expert panels on various topics, including cutting-edge 8K hardware, scanned and native 8K content, and cable/device integration.
On Thursday, Sept. 4, at 2:00 pm, an expert-led panel will delve into scanned, transferred, and native 8K Content. Participants in this panel will include AMD, The Explorers, 4BY4, and Spin Digital. As the 8K content ecosystem matures, the availability of digital content and games is expected to rapidly grow, with publishers and distributors increasing the array of content they release.
Commercial clients are also deploying 8K to meet newly raised expectations. On Friday, Sept. 5, at 11:00 am, another expert-led panel will focus on the latest games, documentaries, sports, and upscaled 8K content. Experts at IMAX, Savage Studios, and Warner Bros. Discovery will participate in this panel.
The 8K hardware panel, scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4, at 11:00 am, will feature top executives from Epson, JVC, Kaleidescape, and Samsung. This session will focus on current and future 8K capture, cable, and device integration. On the same day, at 2:00 pm, another session will delve into the same topics, with participants including AudioQuest, AVPro, and BZBGEAR.
