Boris FX to Showcase AI-Enhanced Workflows at IBC 2024
At this year's International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2024, Boris FX is set to demonstrate its latest suite of products, focusing on AI-assisted workflows designed to streamline tasks without compromising artistic creativity.
The event, which takes place from Friday, September 13 to Monday, September 16, will be held at RAI Amsterdam, Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Boris FX booth can be found in Hall 7.A45.
Ben Brownlee, the director of content at Boris FX, will be demonstrating tools related to the Boris FX suite at Dell's booth in Hall 7.A45. While the specific tools he will showcase are not explicitly mentioned, it's expected that his demonstrations will revolve around the plugin ecosystem, designed to add unique visual textures and effects beneficial for post-production workflows.
Continuum, Silhouette, and CrumplePop are three products using internal machine-learning technology that will be showcased at the event. Continuum builds on its reputation as the most comprehensive plugin toolkit with new features like a mograph audio visualizer, true 3D particles in Particle Illusion, and over 150 presets.
SynthEyes offers advanced 3D camera solve capabilities and new features such as a completely overhauled Flame Exporter, an Advanced Distortion plugin for After Effects, a rectangle sizing tool, and enhanced camera libraries with new models. Mocha Pro offers an easy-to-use 3D tracking workflow with USD (Universal Scene Description) import/export options.
Sapphire's high-end effects collection includes a digital glitch/data mosh effect, cinematic dust, revamped Time effects, and 10 new lens flares. Optics offers 8 fresh creative effects, the ability to mask and isolate Particle Illusion's effects, and over 100 presets based on beauty retouching, digital damage, glows, lens flares, light leaks, and more.
Limited one-on-one demos are available for visitors who wish to get a closer look at the products. Visitors can book a one-on-one demo today. John-Paul Smith, Moritz Fortmann, and Boris Yamnitsky will be available to answer any questions.
Boris FX emphasizes that while AI plays a significant role in these workflows, it's intended to be a helper tool for non-creative tasks. The company's focus remains on preserving artistic creativity and providing tools that accelerate workflow without replacing artists.
