Audio Showcase in Hall 8.0 during Prolight + Sound 2020
At the 2023 Prolight + Sound event, Hall 8.0 stood out as a dedicated space for professional audio technology. This hall showcased the latest innovations and solutions in pro audio, including sound systems, mixers, microphones, amplifiers, and related audio equipment for live events, installations, broadcast, and recording.
Hall 8.0 offered a range of activities and exhibits:
- Leading pro audio manufacturers presented their cutting-edge hardware and software.
- Live demonstrations of sound reinforcement systems and audio technologies were a key feature.
- Presentations and workshops focused on audio engineering, system integration, and installation techniques.
- Networking opportunities for audio professionals, sound engineers, system integrators, and rental companies were abundant.
- Panel discussions on industry trends such as immersive audio, digital audio networking (Dante, AVB), and advances in microphone and loudspeaker technology took place.
Visitors could also find solutions for their individual production requirements in the Indoor Demo Rooms of Hall 8.0. Outside, on the open-air grounds, live sound arenas allowed for rich sound experiences directly in front of Hall 8.0.
Other technologies such as intercom and broadcast systems, microphones, cables & headphones, and digital audio networking were also on display in Hall 8.0. The hall also featured DIY solutions, workshops, lectures on future industry topics, and live monitoring for visitors.
Hall 8.0, the largest ground-level hall on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds with approximately 30,000 square metres, was directly connected to Hall 12 via the covered Via Mobile treadmill system.
Next year, Prolight + Sound will feature a revised hall concept. Hall 8.0 will be reserved for Prolight + Sound exhibitors, focusing on audio technology. Audio manufacturers will present PA systems and line array systems under real conditions at the live sound arenas.
In addition to exhibited innovations, Prolight + Sound will offer an extensive supporting program, including product demonstrations and best practices presentations by exhibitors.
