Barnes & Noble has rolled out an update for its NOOK app on Android devices, bringing a host of fresh features to enhance the reading experience.
The updated app introduces four new themes: Day, Night, Sepia, and Butter, allowing users to customize their reading environment. Additionally, users can now tweak margins and brightness settings to suit their preferences.
A standout feature is the new balance search function, making it easier for users to find specific titles within their collection. The app also gains the ability to side-load rights-free ePub files, expanding users' reading options.
The updated NOOK app for Android is now compatible with devices running Android 1.6 and higher. While the developer of the update is not specified, the new features aim to improve user experience and flexibility.
