BMW sells more cars for the first time in a year and a half - BMW Reports Q3 Sales Boost After 1.5 Years of Declines
BMW has reported a significant sales boost in the third quarter of 2025, with a total of 588,300 cars delivered worldwide. This marks the first increase in sales for the company in one and a half years, following five consecutive declines.
The German automaker saw particularly strong growth in Europe and the USA. In Europe, sales increased by 9% to 239,600 cars, while in the USA, sales surged by 24% to 104,200 cars, despite tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump. In Germany, BMW achieved an impressive 12% increase to just under 73,000 cars.
BMW's sales growth was also driven by its brands. The core BMW brand saw an increase of 5.7% to 514,600 cars. Meanwhile, the Mini brand reported a significant increase of around one-third to 72,400 cars. Even the luxury Rolls-Royce brand contributed to the growth, with a 13% increase to 1,304 cars.
However, the electric car segment saw a slight decrease of 0.6% to 102,900 cars. In China, BMW's sales figure was 147,100, a decrease of 0.4% from the previous year's quarter.
BMW's third-quarter sales growth is a positive sign for the company, with strong performances in key markets and across its brands. Despite a slight dip in electric car sales, the overall increase bodes well for the company's future prospects.
