Caerdav Completes A320 Transition for Avolon, Clearing Way for Volotea Flights
Caerdav has initiated a partnership with Avolon by successfully completing a transition check on an Airbus A321. The aircraft, previously operating in Asia, is now cleared to fly with Volotea in Spain.
Caerdav, renowned for its expertise in Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families, performed the transition check at its St. Athan base in Wales. The process involved a thorough airframe inspection and the replacement of the number two engine following a detailed boroscope review.
Philip Swanson, Caerdav's Business Development Director, expressed pride in the quality and efficiency of their maintenance services. The company aims to strengthen its reputation as a reliable MRO partner for the global leasing sector. The successful collaboration with Avolon opens doors for more aircraft to be serviced at St. Athan in the future.
The Airbus A321, now named 'Caerdav Flyer One', has been successfully transitioned under the new general maintenance agreement between Caerdav and Avolon. Caerdav's flexible approach and full-service MRO hub at St. Athan ensure efficient and cost-conscious end-of-lease checks, redeliveries, and transition projects for Avolon's fleet of over 1,000 aircraft.
