Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Beta Kicks Off, Intel Arc Users Face Light Source Issues

Tonight marks the start of the public beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, initially exclusive to pre-order customers. However, users with Intel stock graphics cards may face issues with certain light sources during gameplay due to the latest driver update.

The official system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 are quite modest, ensuring a wide range of players can participate in the beta. The beta will be open to everyone from October 5th and conclude on October 8th.

Intel has released the 32.0.101.8135 graphics driver for its stock products, optimized for the beta. This driver includes improvements to CPU overhead behavior and supports graphics cards from the Alchemist and Battlemage series, including the stock A and B series, and professional counterparts. It also supports Core Ultra processors from the Meteor Lake, Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake-S, and Arrow Lake-H series. However, the driver may still cause issues with certain light sources during gameplay in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, likely affecting rendering or visual detail levels. Intel is working on resolving this issue.

On a separate note, the 32.0.101.8135 driver is supposed to fix graphic errors in Topaz Video AI that occur in the export window.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta is now underway, with Intel's latest stock driver offering improved performance for many users. However, Intel is aware of and working to resolve issues with certain light sources in the game. The beta is open to all players from October 5th to 8th.
