Casio, the renowned electronics manufacturer, has recently announced a new addition to their lineup – the Casio CPP-002 watch. This unique timepiece is currently being crowdfunded on Makuake for a three-month campaign.
The Casio CPP-002 watch boasts a cool aesthetic, with its lightweight black resin case measuring 35.4mm across and featuring 50m of water resistance. Weighing just 24.5g (~0.86oz), this watch is designed to handle extreme heat and humidity, making it suitable for use in saunas.
One of the standout features of the Casio CPP-002 watch is its sauna-specific functions. It comes equipped with a 12-minute sauna timer function, perfect for keeping track of your sessions. The watch's timer can be set and reset via pushers at the top of the case, ensuring easy operation even when your hands are wet.
The Sauna Ikitai variant of the Casio CPP-002 watch features a red hour hand and a black minute hand, adding a bold touch to its design. The watch is available in three dial styles: white with black numerals, black with white numerals, and white with blue numerals, catering to various personal preferences.
The band of the Casio CPP-002 watch resembles some locker keys, adding a unique twist to its design. It is expandable and comes in orange, black, and blue colours.
The Casio CPP-002 watch is not part of the G-SHOCK umbrella, despite Casio's reputation for ruggedness and durability. However, the new technology in the CPP-002 watch may eventually be incorporated into the G-SHOCK lineup, although there's no mention of this yet.
