In honour of Mario Day (MAR10 Day), Nintendo has pulled out all the stops to celebrate the iconic character. From March 10 to the end of the month, fans can expect a variety of events, promotions, and activities.

New Game Bundles and DLC

Nintendo is celebrating MAR10 Day by releasing the Nintendo Switch Mario Choose One Bundle on March 10. This bundle includes a Nintendo Switch system with Red Joy-Con controllers, a free Mario full game download, and stickers from the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie. Additionally, Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass DLC will be released on March 9, with additional details provided. This wave will introduce a new playable character, Birdo, to the game.

Digital Rewards and Apps

For those looking for digital rewards, players can claim 50 Platinum Points specifically for MAR10 Day via the My Nintendo rewards program in March. Nintendo has also released a free smart device and Switch app titled "Hello, Mario!", letting kids interact with Mario’s face. The classic Super Mario soundtrack has been added to Nintendo’s music app in honour of MAR10 Day.

Merchandise and Gaming Tournaments

Nintendo announced the launch of the "My Mario" product line for parents and children, including rattles, plush toys, clothing, wooden amiibo blocks, and tableware. Alongside physical products, Nintendo Gamer organized a Super Mario Marathon and a Mario Kart Tournament around MAR10 Day as community and competitive celebrations.

Franchise News

Nintendo revealed that a sequel to the 2023 Super Mario Bros. Movie is in production, with a tentative release date set for April 2026. They also announced upcoming release dates for several Mario games on the Nintendo Switch, such as Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
