Comcast & CommScope Revolutionize U.S. Network with FDX Amplifiers
Comcast has partnered with CommScope to revolutionize its network experience across the U.S., deploying FDX amplifiers to deliver multi-gig symmetrical services. The first prototype was delivered in February 2023.
CommScope's FDX amplifiers allow for a cascade of up to six amplifiers, ensuring robust and reliable connectivity. Comcast has been expanding its FDX DOCSIS 4.0 services, reaching over one million homes across six markets since October 2023.
The collaboration between Comcast and CommScope has involved extensive systems testing to refine and enhance FDX technology. Comcast executive Nafshi emphasized the importance of evolving hardware and software to meet increasing customer demand. CommScope's FDX technology supports next-generation connectivity, providing Comcast with the flexibility to upgrade legacy hardware or deploy new hardware strategically.
CommScope's FDX amplifiers have enabled Comcast to accelerate the rollout of FDX DOCSIS 4.0 services, reaching a significant number of homes across multiple markets. With successful systems testing and strategic deployment, Comcast continues to enhance its network capabilities, meeting the growing demands of its customers.
