The National Communication Center for Science and Technology (NCCST) in Beijing's Chaoyang district, opened in June 2023, has received a significant boost in its audiovisual capabilities, thanks to the integration of Visionary's PacketAV Matrix Series. This cutting-edge system, powered by PacketAV Matrix Series, provides a flexible and seamless operation, reducing installation time and eliminating unnecessary costs.

Kane Zhang, CTS-D, CCNA, ENS, SVP and chief technology officer for EZPro International, coordinated with a systems integrator for the audiovisual integration at the NCCST. The integration included 63 PacketAV Encoders and Decoders, providing video distribution across all fixed displays and a few mobile audiovisual systems.

The PacketAV Matrix Series serves as a scalable, flexible IP-based matrix switching system that allows multiple AV sources to be routed to various displays and endpoints in real time. It supports centralized control and management of the AV infrastructure, ensuring efficient handling of complex presentations, live broadcasts, and conferencing environments typical in a national-level communication center focused on science and technology.

The system's ability to handle high-resolution video and audio over the network helps enhance collaboration and information sharing, making it ideal for the demanding environment of the center. It plays a crucial role in the audiovisual integration at the NCCST, empowering academic exchanges and international cooperation.

Moreover, the PacketAV Matrix Series was instrumental in configuring and editing each PacketAV Encoder and Decoder in the NCCST's audiovisual system. It was integrated to ensure seamless connectivity with 24-Port Managed Switches from NETGEAR, which includes a custom profile with Visionary's PacketAV Matrix Series. This integration leverages Visionary's unique ability to VLAN tag network traffic within the PacketAV endpoints.

The PacketAV Matrix Series also supports Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), allowing devices to directly connect and share device information. Using existing network resources, the encoders and decoders can be rapidly deployed with the PacketAV Matrix Series.

The NCCST spans over 660,000 square feet and features four exhibitions showcasing China's scientific and technological advancements, ecological civilization, postal stamps, and individual contributions to innovation. It is situated next to the China Science and Technology Museum, further enhancing its role as a hub for scientific and technological progress.

With the PacketAV Matrix Series, the NCCST's audiovisual system offers a simplified, stable user experience, promoting the latest scientific and technological advancements. The system's rapid mass configuration capabilities allow quick discovery and export of device parameters to a CSV format file, ensuring efficient management and maintenance.

In summary, the PacketAV Matrix Series enables robust, flexible, and high-performance AV signal distribution and control at the National Communication Center, supporting its mission for clear, effective science and technology communication. EZPro International supported the design and integration of audiovisual technology at the NCCST with Visionary's PacketAV Matrix Series, ensuring a successful operation of the NCCST's audiovisual system.
