Fresh Take:

cope with scarcity when it comes to economical PC hardware these days, but Cooler Master is aiming to change that with their new Elite case lineup. At their headquarters, they unveiled eight cases, ranging from basic mid-towers to wood-accented, dual-chamber designs, and even a couple with curved glass on the front and sides.

These cases aren't revolutionary in terms of design or features, but a Cooler Master representative hinted that all of them should have MSRPs under $100, and one of the curved glass models might even cost just $69. However, he quickly added, "We're still dealing with tariffs, so that's kind of like the global price."

So unless things change between now and the expected launch in September (ugh, tariffs!), U.S. customers are likely to pay more than most of the rest of the world for these cases. But, rest assured, Cooler Master is working diligently to bring these cases stateside while keeping the prices affordable. They also mentioned that not all models will make it to the U.S. market.

Most companies at Computex have been coy about pricing for the U.S. market due to tariff uncertainties. However, it's refreshing that Cooler Master is shooting for such low prices for the Elite case line, given how sleek they look. The top panels of the curved glass models are plastic, though — a necessary sacrifice to hit that price point.

Also, it's not clear if the RGB fans in the displayed cases will come with all models. On a positive note, most of the cases feature an exhaust fan with an RPM and temperature readout on the bottom module, which I hope makes its way to the 600 series models.

Stay tuned for official announcements from Cooler Master for the exact prices and release dates for their Elite case lineup in the U.S. market. In the meantime, make sure to follow Tom's Hardware on Google News for updates on this and other tech news!
