Former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz is one of the shareholders of Dream Security, a cybersecurity powerhouse based in Tel Aviv. After a successful start, the company has now taken a giant leap, opening its new location in Vienna, Austria. According to Sebastian Kurz himself, the company's revenue is estimated at around 100 million Euros, making it "highly profitable." [1] [3]

Expanding Globally

The cybersecurity firm has already made its mark in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Boasting a clientele that includes governments and major financial institutions, Dream Security is eyeing the US market for its next expansion. The recent investment from US-based Bain Capital is anticipated to bolster the company's position in the American market. [3]

From Spyware to Cybersecurity

Prior to establishing Dream Security, its co-founder, Shalev Hulio, gained notoriety for the development of the Pegasus spyware through his company NSO. Interestingly, Hulio stumbled upon the cybersecurity industry quite unexpectedly, as he started developing security solutions for remote phone management that later found applications in law enforcement agencies. Dream Security currently boasts a workforce of around 200 employees in its Tel Aviv headquarters, with Vienna's Dream Advanced Technology GmbH, led by Bernhard Bonelli (former cabinet chief under Kurz and Alexander Schallenberg), joining the fold with a dozen employees. [3]
