Get ready for an exciting ride! Delta Air Lines has pumped up its employees with a pay raise for the fourth year running, fueling the company's ongoing growth.

Each employee is grinning from ear to ear, swinging a 4% wage bonus, following in line with the prediction made by CEO Ed Bastian in January at a leadership conference, according to Delta's latest press release.

Just three cents short of three months ago, the company doled out nearly five weeks of additional earnings in February as part of its profit-sharing program. Delta claims to outshine every other U.S. airline or company by dishing out over $10 billion during the last decade as a token of appreciation.

"Century-old Delta has worked tirelessly on the conviction that when we pamper our people first, they orchestrate brilliance for our customers," Bastian said on Tuesday. "Our winning streak and versatility will continue to set Delta apart, even in the face of burgeoning challenges."

Delta prides itself on its compensation policy, asserting it reigns supreme in the entire airline industry. This philosophy, Delta insists, is birthed from the company's core value of sharing its success with the employees.

Since 2022, Delta has plowed a cumulative 25% or more into its workers' wallets through their largest frontline workgroups.

"With this raise, Delta marches forward, surpassing its global counterparts in providing the highest total compensation to frontline employees for unparalleled performance," the release stated, reiterating its unwavering commitment to its employees' financial well-being.

In addition to its profit-sharing program, Delta lavishes its employees with an enticing benefits package.

Its crew can expect more than just steady, competitive pay. Plus, they're treated to up to $100 monthly to achieve operational goals, financial mentoring with the potential to pocket $1,000, a 6% match, and an automatic 3-4% contribution to 401(k) retirement accounts.

Delta Air Lines islaying the groundwork for a potential air taxi service, locking horns with industry partner Joby Aviation. This collaboration involves an initial $60 million investment, with the possibility of escalating to $200 million based on achievement of specified milestones, paving the way for a 2% stake and a board seat. This collaboration aims to integrate Joby's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft into Delta's network, starting with Los Angeles and New York airports to cater to airport shuttles.

While Joby Aviation has received FAA approval for commercial testing and expects to ship aircraft to Dubai by the mid-2025, Delta's specific timeline for launch remains a closely guarded secret. Notably, arch-rival eVTOL developer Archer Aviation clinched a $1 billion order from United Airlines for airport shuttles, such as Newark to Manhattan, but Delta's focus currently leans towards the Joby partnership instead of developing its own eVTOL technology. As of now, Delta has not released a definitive timeline, specifying only targets linked to its investment structure.
