Dubai Municipality Debuts 'Eltizam' Application for Reinforced Cleanliness Regulation Enforcement
In a significant stride towards maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainability in Dubai, Dubai Municipality has launched the 'Eltizam' app. This innovative digital platform is designed to facilitate efficient monitoring, reporting, enforcement, and education around public cleanliness, directly supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming the cleanest city globally.
The 'Eltizam' app empowers residents, visitors, and authorized officials to report and manage cleanliness violations effectively. It targets eight key offences, including littering, spitting, improper waste disposal, and unauthorized barbecuing.
Authorized users, such as Dubai Municipality officials, can issue fines for these violations using the app by taking photos, capturing vehicle number plates or scanning Emirates IDs. This streamlines judicial enforcement and helps deter offenders, enhancing transparency in public cleanliness enforcement.
Users can submit photos and descriptions of issues such as overflowing bins, illegal dumping, spitting, dumping waste in water, and posting unauthorized advertisements. Reports include automatically captured locations to ensure accuracy. Users can also follow the status of their submissions, tracking how Dubai Municipality addresses each reported concern, thus increasing transparency and accountability.
The 'Eltizam' app also provides information on waste collection schedules, locations of recycling points, and guidelines on proper waste disposal, promoting environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.
Security is a top priority for the 'Eltizam' app. Users can log in securely via UAE Pass or traditional username/password, with a biometric lock option for enhanced security.
H.E. Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, stated that the 'Eltizam' app embodies Dubai Municipality’s approach to combining technology with civic values. It empowers both officials and citizens in maintaining urban cleanliness, sustainability, and quality of life. The app supports the broader vision of a pioneering smart city that balances regulation and public participation to sustain Dubai’s urban appeal.
The 'Eltizam' app is part of Dubai Municipality's efforts to promote a clean and sustainable city. It is also a blend of technology and civic responsibility, encouraging community engagement. The app supports Dubai's leadership in sustainable urban living and contributes to the digitization of enforcement processes.
In summary, the 'Eltizam' app is a comprehensive digital platform that facilitates efficient monitoring, reporting, enforcement, and education around public cleanliness. It directly supports Dubai’s vision through smart governance and collaborative urban management, promoting sustainability, urban wellbeing, and shared responsibility.
