The Pro AV industry is set to experience significant growth, with the global market expected to reach an impressive $325 billion by 2024, up from $306.4 billion in 2023 [1]. This positive trend is expected to continue into 2025, with India projected to be the fastest-growing Pro AV market, reaching $11.8 billion in annual revenue by 2029 [1].

The AVIXA Insights Community, a research community of industry members that tracks business trends in commercial AV, compiles the Pro AV Business Index report. The report includes two diffusion indexes: the AV Sales Index (AVI-S) and the AV Employment Index (AVI-E) [2].

In the current month, the AVI-S remains locked in the high 50s, indicating growth that is lower than most periods prior to 2023. The AVI-E reading for the same period is 55.6, which is in the lower end of the range, but slightly increased from May [2].

Key factors influencing the growth rate in the Pro AV industry include the surging demand for AI and immersive AV technologies, rapid expansion in sectors such as corporate, education, and government, and the increasing integration of 5G, data, and IoT technologies [3]. Additionally, the rise in high-value international buyers and investments in high-quality projects, as well as the push towards immersive, creative AV experiences, are fueling demand in media and live event markets [4].

Despite the challenges faced by AV providers, such as inflation, the U.S. political situation, and tariff uncertainties, growth remains the norm. Customers are forging ahead with projects, often accepting the increased costs [5]. Survey comments suggest that the impacts of each challenge have lessened over the past month or two, even if project delays have surfaced [5].

However, the newly released forecasts from AVIXA's Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) predict that 2025 growth for Pro AV will be below the averages of 5-6% [6]. With sales growth moving at a slower pace, the AV Employment Index (AVI-E) is also tracking lower from a historical perspective. An index above 50 indicates an increase in sales or employment activity for both AVI-S and AVI-E.
