In a recent visit to the University, Mayor Alexander Putz was accompanied by Werner Baumann, the city's Digitalization Officer. The occasion was a meeting with the first-year students of the "Digital Administration Management" program.

Mayor Putz took the opportunity to wish the students success in their upcoming exams and expressed his amazement at the speed of technology development and the opportunities digitalization offers. He reminisced about his past, where punch cards, floppy disks, and modem connections were the norm, and contrasted it with the advanced digitization of Landshut city that he now oversees.

During the discussion, challenges involved in implementing advanced digitization were addressed. The conversation focused on the areas of Smart City and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the digitization of Landshut city. Baumann, the Digitalization Officer, shared insights into the city's plans for digitization, while Mayor Putz spoke about the rapid technological progress he has witnessed in his career.

The "Digital Administration Management" program is partnered with the city and district of Landshut, ensuring a steady supply of highly trained specialists for the city administration. The program's teaching assistant, Carina Weinzierl, is responsible for digitization at the County Administration.

While there are no publicly available search results indicating that Werner Baumann was previously commissioned in Landshut for Smart City, artificial intelligence, or digitalization projects, his expertise and experience were undoubtedly valuable in the discussion. The city administration is glad to be able to rely on such specialists in the future.

The visit served as a reminder of the importance of digitalization in today's world and the role of educational institutions in preparing the workforce for the future. The first-year students, eager to make their mark, were inspired by the presence of Mayor Putz and Baumann, and looked forward to contributing to the digitization of Landshut city.
