Electric SUV model from Subaru, known as the Uncharted, set to debut in the United Kingdom market
Subaru has announced the introduction of three new fully electric models into the UK market, with the most comprehensive information available on the Uncharted compact SUV.
1. Subaru Uncharted (2026)
The Subaru Uncharted, set to be released in early 2026, is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) compact crossover. It boasts a 75 kWh lithium-ion pack, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes via 150 kW fast charging with a standard NACS (Tesla) port.
The Uncharted offers three powertrain options:
- The Base Premium FWD model, featuring a single front electric motor producing 221 hp, offering a range of more than 300 miles on a single charge.
- The Sport and GT AWD models, equipped with dual electric motors, delivering up to 338 hp and accelerating from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds, with a range of about 290 miles.
The Uncharted comes with a host of features, including a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless chargers in the front console, and dual rear USB-C chargers. It also includes Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance suite as standard, featuring forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross-traffic alert, and optional surround-view camera, traffic jam assist, and lane change assist.
Pricing for the Uncharted has not been announced yet. The compact SUV is designed to offer true off-road ability, with 210mm of ground clearance.
2. Subaru Solterra
The Solterra, Subaru’s first mass-produced electric SUV, shares battery architecture with Toyota's bZ4X. It is a midsize electric SUV with all-wheel drive, targeting the mainstream electric SUV market. The Solterra was introduced earlier and is already available in some markets since around 2022-2023.
3. Subaru E-Outback
The E-Outback, an electric version of Subaru’s popular Outback model, is expected to be released mid to late this decade. However, specific details about the E-Outback, including its battery capacity, powertrain, features, and release date, are not yet publicly available.
The E-Outback was revealed as the 'Trailseeker' at this year's New York International Auto Show. It is expected to offer increased luggage capacity compared to the Solterra. Subaru has not yet confirmed the UK prices or sales start date for the E-Outback.
