The tech world of audiophiles has a new addition with the launch of the FiiO K15 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier. This versatile, high-fidelity audio device is designed for those seeking powerful amplification and flexible connectivity in a compact form.

The K15's key features include a discrete Class-AB amplifier circuit that delivers up to 3000mW (3W) per channel via balanced outputs, capable of driving both sensitive in-ear monitors (IEMs) and demanding high-impedance over-ear headphones with low noise and high current performance.

Advanced DAC technology is incorporated through the use of dual AKM AK4497S "Velvet Sound" DAC chips in a dual-mono, fully balanced and differential configuration. This ensures superior signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), excellent channel separation, low distortion (THD), and overall superior sound fidelity.

The entire audio path—from the DACs to the amplifier stage—is fully balanced to minimize noise, distortion, and crosstalk, enhancing clarity and preserving lifelike sound reproduction. The internal layout separates analog, digital, and power supply sections onto three distinct PCBs, reducing interference and electrical noise, improving signal integrity and sound quality.

The K15 offers a comprehensive range of playback and connectivity options, including USB DAC, Bluetooth decoding, streaming, local playback via USB storage, optical and coaxial decoding, single-ended and balanced analog inputs, and turntable input. Output options include balanced XLR and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, as well as single-ended outputs, enabling use as a pre-amplifier or standalone DAC.

A 3.93-inch color touchscreen provides intuitive on-device navigation and settings, while two LED-ringed rotary knobs offer tactile control for volume and menu navigation. An infrared remote and the FiiO Control App (Android, iOS) are included for hands-free operation, and the app offers a 10-band parametric EQ for personalized sound shaping.

The K15 supports multiple gain levels for headphone amplification, multiple headphone output options, Roon Ready certification, and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) and Ethernet connectivity for stable streaming.
