Globalassemblage of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) enthusiasts happening from 4th to 6th November at VRDays event.
Amidst the challenges posed by crises and isolation, event organizers worldwide struggle to maintain community engagement and foster partnerships. This dilemma is not lost on VRDays Europe, a yearly three-day gathering focusing on the application of immersive technology in business, science, and art. To address these issues, VRDays Europe has announced its "New Horizons" edition.
Over a span of three days, the virtual event will host over 30 conference sessions on various online platforms to engage the global VR/AR community. A diverse group of 150+ international experts will discuss the latest advancements in the immersive technology industry and their potential impacts on our future. Speakers set to participate include Amy Seidenwurm, Blake Kammerdiener, Francesco Giordana, Jason Lovell, A.I. Artist and Storyteller Karen Palmer, Kavya Pearlman, Sophie Kleber, and many more.
The annual Vision & Impact Conference, traditionally held at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam, will now be live-streamed on Vimeo from this location. It serves as a platform for XR experts from around the world to share practical cases shaping the present and setting a vision for the future. Panel discussions and keynotes will tackle significant topics relevant to the community and wider industry, such as The Future of Work, VR in Education, Virtual Conferencing, and more.
For the first time, Church of VR will be accessible through Oculus TV, allowing audiences to interact with award-winning creative projects fully immersed in VR from the comfort of their homes or during Satellite Events. Select projects, like The Cosmic Laughter of Cucci Binaca, The Principle Dancer, and Saving My Oasis, will have their world premiere in Church of VR. The expo, initially a physical trade show in the Kromhouthal, will now be available as a virtual experience on the our website World, powered by VirBELA.
In addition, 30 Satellite Events are being co-hosted by VRDays across 30 countries. These small-scale, coronavirus-friendly gatherings on platforms like Microsoft Mixed Reality and Somnium Space include workshops, talks, networking, and special VR experiences.
With the support of Cleanbox Technologies, City of Amsterdam, Creative Europe, Creative Industries Fund NL, HP, our website, Oculus, Vicon, and Vive X, VRDays Europe will enable the XR community to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate regardless of their global location.
