Goertek's Vietnam Project to Create 70,000 Jobs, Quadruple Investment
Goertek Technology Vina Company Limited's Nam Son-Hap Linh project in Bac Ninh, Vietnam, has seen significant developments. The project, which began in 2024, is set to create a substantial number of jobs and expand its investment significantly over the next decade.
The project, with a total investment of around $540 million, is expected to generate 70,000 jobs, including 50,000 direct positions and 20,000 roles for staff of tenants in offices and factories once fully operational. Goertek, a Chinese company founded in 2001, plans to triple or quadruple its investment in Bac Ninh over the next five to ten years.
The project, spanning 52.8 hectares, is divided into three phases. Phases one and two are already operational, with phase three expected to complete construction by Q4/2026, finish equipment installation by Q1/2027, and start production in Q2/2027. Goertek has secured the eighth revised investment registration certificate for this project. The company produces a wide range of products, including gaming consoles, cameras, VR headsets, and electronic circuit boards.
The Nam Son-Hap Linh project's operational term runs through May 2060. As of October 2023, there's no specific information about planned investments between Q4/2026 and Q2/2027.
