Google Unveils Nest Cams, Doorbell, and Home Speaker with 2K Resolution and 360-Degree Audio
Google has unveiled new Nest smart home devices, including an Indoor and Outdoor Cam with 2K resolution, and a Doorbell with a 1:1 aspect ratio. The Nest Cam Indoor is priced at $100, the Outdoor at $150, and the Doorbell at $180. Additionally, the Google Home Speaker will hit the market in Spring 2026 for $99, featuring 360-degree audio and compatibility with a Google TV Streamer.
The new Nest Cams boast a 152-degree diagonal field of view, capturing wide-angle shots. They offer 2K resolution, providing sharp, detailed images. The Nest Doorbell stands out with its 1:1 aspect ratio, giving a clear, square view of visitors. It also supports zoomed-in previews in notifications, allowing users to see more detail before answering the door.
The Google Home Speaker, set to release in Spring 2026, comes with 360-degree audio, ensuring sound reaches every corner of the room. It can be paired with a Google TV Streamer for enhanced entertainment. Google has also introduced a new protocol, Agent2Agent (A2A), for AI agent transactions. Backed by over 150 organizations, including Coinbase, Cloudflare, and major payment providers, this open standard aims to facilitate seamless transactions between AI agents.
Google's new Nest devices bring improved security and convenience to smart homes, while the Google Home Speaker promises immersive audio. The Agent2Agent protocol, supported by leading companies, signals a step forward in AI-driven transactions.
