Havaianas Unveils First 3D-Printed Flip-Flops in September 2025
Havaianas, the iconic Brazilian flip-flop brand, is set to revolutionize its offerings with the launch of its first 3D-printed flip-flops. The innovative footwear, a result of a collaboration with German 3D-printing specialists Zellerfeld, is designed to order and promises a blend of style, functionality, and sustainability.
The 3D-printed flip-flops, set to hit the market in September 2025, are manufactured as a single unit, including the sole and strap. This unique production process allows for individual size adjustments via an app, reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable approach to footwear. The flip-flops come in five vibrant colors, reflecting Havaianas' joyful DNA.
The textured, sculptural surface and contoured footbed of these famous footwear offer both style and comfort. A standout feature is the unique, rounded toe cap, designed for better grip, a departure from traditional open sandal designs. Zellerfeld, known for pushing boundaries in footwear manufacturing, has previously created innovative designs like the Top Toe, showcasing seamless, sculptural designs impossible with traditional methods.
The 3D-printed flip-flops, made to order and expected to be available through the Zellerfeld website, come at a premium price due to their complex manufacturing process and limited availability. With a delivery time of about three to four weeks after purchase, these famous footwear are not only a statement in style but also a testament to the future of footwear manufacturing.
