Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join their Rail and Transit Industry Sales team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive business growth, strengthen MEPPI's market presence, and contribute to shaping the future of energy and transportation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting for new business opportunities with transit and rail authorities not currently utilizing MELCO equipment. This will involve cultivating strong connections with key technical and commercial decision-makers at target organizations.

In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong, ongoing relationships to support sales and project success. You will understand customer needs to maintain contracts and secure sales opportunities. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to sales and project strategies, developing pricing quotations and managing project scopes to maximize profitability and maintain fairness.

Representing MEPPI professionally in all interactions, you will promote a positive image of the division. Your specialized knowledge in rail and transit industry products and solutions, particularly power quality products and turnkey projects relevant to the transportation sector, will be essential.

The role requires strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. You will prepare regular status updates, project activity reports, and accurately track progress to management and customers, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution. Maintaining and managing detailed records and databases on customer interactions, project statuses, and sales leads is also part of the role to ensure organized follow-ups and pipeline management.

Qualifications for this role typically include proven experience in sales or project/customer management roles, especially in technical or industrial sectors like energy or transportation. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are necessary to manage complex customer and internal stakeholder relationships. You should also possess the ability to coordinate teams and manage projects from quotation to delivery and maintenance.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems (e.g., CRM tools) is required. The role also requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the rail transit, transportation, or rail manufacturing industry.
