Japan Airlines (JAL) has entered the luxury credit card market with the launch of the JAL Luxury Card, a premium offering targeted at affluent customers and business executives with high annual card spending.

The JAL Luxury Card, designed for affluent customers, promises to elevate travel experiences with exclusive status perks and premium services. Cardholders of the regular JAL Luxury Card receive "JMB Crystal" status, while those with the invitation-only JAL Luxury Card Limited enjoy the higher "JMB Sapphire" status, providing enhanced travel privileges.

The card features a distinctive metal design with the JAL crane logo, reinforcing its premium brand image and exclusivity, especially for the Limited, invitation-only variant featuring a deep red finish.

In addition to airline-specific benefits, the JAL Luxury Card offers a range of luxury services, inherited from its partnership with Luxury Card. These include a 24-hour concierge service, Priority Pass lounge access, special tickets to movies and national museum exhibitions, restaurant limousine services, hotel status matches, and participation in cruise status programs. However, the specifics of the limousine shuttle service and exclusive exchange events are not detailed.

The JAL Luxury Card and the JAL Luxury Card Limited are part of the Luxury Card series for the wealthy. Both cards are targeted at customers with annual card spending of 30 million yen or more. The annual fee for the JAL Luxury Card is 242,000 yen, while the JAL Luxury Card Limited carries a higher fee of 599,500 yen.

Cardholders of the JAL Luxury Card will earn at least 1.25% in frequent flier mileage returns, but the JAL Luxury Card Limited does not provide information about the mileage returns it offers.
