Hydrogen-powered Renault Master Van honored as the first of its kind to win an award in France

Mehdi Ferhan, COO of HYVIA, expressed gratitude as the Renault Master Van H2-TECH was awarded the "Heavy Duty Vehicle of the Year 2023" at the Millésime Trophées 2023. The ceremony, held on July 12 at the Parc de Saint Cloud in Paris, France, was attended by a jury of international commercial vehicle journalists.

The Renault Master Van H2-TECH, a zero-emission vehicle, was recognised for its innovative fuel cell technology, which boasts a power output of 30 kW. The van, standing at a height of 1.80 m, allows users to stand inside comfortably, and it offers a loading volume of 12 m³, suitable for transporting goods and parcels.

The Renault Master Van H2-TECH is propelled by a 57 kW electric motor and a 33 kWh battery. It refuels in just 5 minutes, providing a range of up to 400 km. This hydrogen-powered vehicle is one of the pioneers of hydrogen mobility, according to Mehdi Ferhan, who mentioned that they are working with the entire hydrogen industry in Europe.

Ferhan stated that the award is a strong signal for the HYVIA teams developing the Renault Master Van H2-TECH. He added that the recognition encourages them to move forward in their efforts, enriching their unique and complete ecosystem with the Renault Master Van H2-TECH. The award-winning van enables businesses and local authorities to maintain the competitiveness of their activities with a zero-emission vehicle.

Ferhan expressed his gratitude for the award, stating that it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team. He emphasised that daily challenges include being at the forefront of hydrogen mobility and working with the entire hydrogen industry in Europe. The Renault Master Van H2-TECH is a significant step forward in this endeavour, and its recognition at the Millésime Trophées 2023 is a clear indication of its potential to revolutionise the commercial vehicle industry.
