Introducing the latest additions to the iPhone family! Apple unveils the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Apple has announced that customers in over 60 countries, including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, the U.K., the U.S., and more, can pre-order the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in yellow starting at 5 a.m. PST this Friday, March 10. The devices will be available for purchase from March 14.
Pricing and Availability in the U.S.
In the U.S., customers can get the iPhone 14 for $799 or $33.29 a month for 24 months before trade-in, and the iPhone 14 Plus for $899 or $37.45 a month for 24 months before trade-in. The devices will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, starting at $799 (US) and $899 (US) respectively.
New Features
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come with several new features. The Emergency SOS via satellite allows users to message with emergency services when cellular and Wi-Fi coverage are not available. This service is currently available in Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the U.K., and the U.S., and will be available in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal later this month.
Find My via satellite is another new feature that allows users to share their location via satellite when off the grid. This service will also be available in the aforementioned countries by the end of this month, subject to regulatory approval and local requirements.
Other Features and Offers
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are powered by the A15 Bionic chip, providing powerful performance, pro-level capabilities, and protecting privacy and security features. The devices also feature iOS 16, which includes a multilayered Lock Screen, improved Focus, Live Activities, and more.
Customers who purchase the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will receive three free months of Apple Arcade and Apple Fitness+ with a new subscription. Additionally, customers can get up to $800 in credit when they trade in an iPhone 11 or later and upgrade to iPhone 14 at Apple's website/store. Customers can also get up to $800 credit on iPhone 14 after trade-in directly from Apple when they activate it with select U.S. carriers.
Design and Colours
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are available in midnight, starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, blue, purple, and yellow. The devices are also available in yellow in addition to the previously mentioned colours. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Silicone Cases will be available in four new colours: canary yellow, olive, sky, and iris.
Environmental Impact
Apple has designed the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus to minimise their impact on the environment. The devices use upcycled plastic, improved repairability, and recycled materials.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also come with Crash Detection, which can detect a severe car crash and automatically dial emergency services if a user is unconscious or unable to reach their iPhone.
Customers in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal can pre-order the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in yellow starting March 10, with availability on March 14. The devices can be purchased from Apple's website/store, Apple Store app, Apple Store locations, Apple Authorized Resellers, and select carriers.
