Introducing the New Draco XStreme Extender Series by IHSE

IHSE Unveils Next-Generation Draco XStreme Series for High-Performance Video Transmission

IHSE, a leading manufacturer of KVM and AV extension solutions, has announced the launch of its new Draco XStreme series. This innovative product line, based on a next-generation hardware platform, is designed to revolutionize high-resolution, low-latency video transmission for professional AV environments.

The Draco XStreme series offers a range of features that cater to the demands of modern video applications. It supports ultra-high resolutions, from Full HD up to 8K, ensuring crisp and clear video quality. The series provides near-zero latency, critical for real-time control and live video production workflows.

One of the key advantages of the Draco XStreme series is its compact design. The products feature a 1RU form factor with a shallow 7¼-inch chassis depth, making them ideal for space-limited setups such as OB trucks and flypacks. The series also offers flexible fiber optic connectivity options, including single-mode fiber or SMPTE hybrid cables, allowing for long-distance transmission without signal degradation.

Moreover, the Draco XStreme series supports remote powering over fiber, simplifying installation and reducing cabling complexity. It seamlessly integrates with control units, routers, switchers, and other professional AV infrastructure, enhancing overall system flexibility.

The new extenders in the Draco XStreme series support up to 16-bits of deep color and HDR. They are capable of transmitting two 4K60 video signals or a single 4K60 video signal, respectively, over a standard 1 GB network without a visible loss in image quality, reducing energy consumption.

IHSE is also launching a Single-Head 4K60 Extender and a Dual-Head 4K60 Extender, both operating over a 1 GB link. The Dual-Head 4K60 Extender is capable of transmitting two 4K60 video signals over a single cable.

At the heart of this platform lies the JPEG XS codec co-developed with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits. This cutting-edge technology contributes to the series' low-latency and high-performance characteristics.

The Draco XStreme series maintains the low-latency and high-performance characteristics of the Draco XStreme series, with less than 1 millisecond per frame of video transmission latency. It continues to simplify system architecture, resulting in total project cost savings.

With the new releases, IHSE aims to further improve video transmission efficiency for the Draco XStreme series, continuing to deliver a powerful tactile experience for professional users requiring high-quality, real-time video and KVM extension over fiber, especially in broadcast, live event, and control room environments.

The Draco XStreme series, introduced by IHSE, showcases its innovation in data-and-cloud-computing technology through its features, designed for high-performance video transmission. This series, centered around next-generation hardware, supports a range of video applications, offering features such as ultra-high resolutions, low latency, and flexible fiber optic connectivity.
