Jaguar Unveils New Electric GT Car: A Glance at What's to Come

Jaguar is gearing up for the unveiling of its new electric GT car, offering potential customers a sneak peek with the 'Design Vision' Type 00. This concept car, spotted on test drives in the far north, indicates that market introduction is not far off.

The Type 00 concept car boasts a stunning design, reminiscent of classic Jaguars, with a matte ultramarine finish, muscular lines, and butterfly doors. The interior is minimalist and high-tech, featuring large monitors that emerge from the dashboard at the touch of a button.

While the exact price and name of the new model are still under wraps, it's expected to go on sale in early 2026, with an introductory price of over 100,000 British pounds (approximately 120,000 euros).

As Jaguar prepares for this major launch, it's worth noting that the production of most Jaguar models has already ended, and the production of the last model, the F-Pace, will soon cease. This new electric GT car marks a significant step forward in Jaguar's reinvention.

Jaguar's management expressed hope that the brand's reinvention could succeed based on the positive public response to the Type 00 concept car, which made a strong impression at its debut in Monte Carlo.

In the world of motorsport, Jaguar is making waves in Formula E, competing alongside Porsche, Maserati, McLaren, Nissan, Cupra, and DS from the Stellantis group. The team recently secured a second podium place for the reigning world champion team in the Formula E race in Monte Carlo.

However, Jaguar will not participate in the IAA Mobility auto show in September. Instead, the city of Nürburg has been announced as the venue for the German premiere of Jaguar's electric Gran Turismo, to take place at the Nürburgring racetrack.

As we await the official unveiling of the new Jaguar model, the anticipation continues to build. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch of this exciting new electric GT car from Jaguar.
