Kawasaki Introduces Its Powerful UTV Featuring a Streetbike Engine, Producing an Impressive 250 HP

The Kawasaki Teryx H2 has entered the high-performance UTV market with a bang, offering a unique blend of power, technology, and affordability. This four-door side-by-side vehicle boasts a supercharged 999cc inline four-cylinder engine that churns out an impressive 250 horsepower, surpassing its competitors like the Polaris and Can-Am models [1][3].

The Teryx H2's engine is equipped with advanced fueling technology, featuring four 40mm throttle bodies and a dual-injector system, much like the one found in Kawasaki's Ninja H2 superbike engine [1][5]. This setup ensures efficient power delivery and fuel burn.

One of the key features of the Teryx H2 is its selectable Full, Mid, and Low Power modes, giving riders the flexibility to manage the substantial 250 hp output based on terrain or driving conditions [1]. The supercharger spins at nearly 130,000 rpm, increasing intake pressure to around 2.4 times atmospheric pressure (approximately 35 psi), a feat unmatched in the performance UTV market [1].

In terms of pricing, the Teryx H2 is competitively priced, with a starting price of around $37,199 before delivery fees, making it slightly cheaper than similar four-door performance UTVs from Polaris and Can-Am [1][2][4].

The Teryx H2 also comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a unique supercharger setup with two sets of injectors: 12-hole downstream and 10-hole upstream [2]. It's worth noting that the Teryx H2 is only offered in four-door and five-seat versions.

For those who have tested the Polaris and Can-Am models, the author plans to test the Kawasaki Teryx H2 to compare its performance and overall value. With its superior engine power, innovative supercharging technology, advanced fuel management, and competitive pricing, the Teryx H2 is certainly a standout option for enthusiasts seeking peak performance in a four-door UTV.
