Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna Tests AI Board Member SKAI for Enhanced Governance
Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna Fund is set to test its groundbreaking artificial intelligence system, SKAI, at the next Board of Directors meeting. This marks the beginning of SKAI's integration into the Fund's governance practices, aiming to enhance transparency and decision-making quality.
SKAI, the first AI-powered independent board member with voting rights in the region, combines human decision-making with artificial intelligence. It processes and analyzes internal and external regulations, board decisions, and corporate records to improve transparency and decision-making quality.
SKAI runs on the Kazakh-language Alem LLM model, demonstrating the Fund's commitment to developing domestic AI capabilities. It operates on the AlFarabium-2 supercomputer, part of Kazakhtelecom, ensuring data sovereignty and high computing power. The initiative is part of Samruk-Kazyna's long-term digitalization and management transformation strategy.
SKAI's testing at the Fund's Board of Directors meeting signals a significant step towards integrating AI into corporate governance. By leveraging AI for decision-making, the Fund aims to improve transparency and efficiency, setting a precedent for the region.
