Kia EV4 Showcases Exceptional Battery Performance in Real-World Testing

The Kia EV4, a reliable electric vehicle, has impressed with its fourth-generation battery that boasts advanced thermal management and optimized coolant distribution. This innovative system, combined with regenerative braking that recaptures 25% of energy during deceleration, extends battery life and maintains consistent performance.

In real-world and extreme testing, the Kia EV4 demonstrated strong battery performance and durability. Over a distance of 110,000 kilometers on European roads and 10,000 kilometers on the Nürburgring circuit, the battery's State-of-Health (SOH) remained at an impressive 95%. Even after frequent hypercharging during Nürburgring tests, the battery remained efficient, showcasing the effectiveness of the thermal management and overall battery design under high-stress conditions.

The EV4's battery life is prolonged, and its performance is maintained. After 68,000 miles (110,000 km) of public road driving and an intense 6,200-mile (10,000 km) Nürburgring campaign, the battery showed minimal degradation, indicating its robustness under challenging conditions.

Engineers confirmed that the battery health (SoH) remained at 95% after covering 10,000 kilometers on the Green Hell and 110,000 kilometers on the road. The Kia EV4's battery innovation ensures safe temperature maintenance and efficient energy transfer, contributing to its reliability and long-term durability.

The Kia EV4 is powered by an electric motor producing up to 201 bhp in standard trims, with a future GT version expected to reach around 300 bhp. The Nürburgring testing highlighted the EV4's ability to maintain performance reliability under demanding track conditions, reinforcing its endurance credentials and battery robustness.

Based on test results, the Kia EV4 is deemed a reliable electric vehicle suitable for daily use. Engineers expect that the Kia EV4's battery will retain at least 70% of its capacity after 160,000 kilometers traveled or about eight years of regular use.

The Kia EV4's battery innovation outpaces recent battery innovations from competitors, accelerating the electric vehicle revolution. The brand's commitment to battery technology and its focus on creating efficient, reliable, and long-lasting electric vehicles is clear.
