KPMG Australia Unveils KymChat, Its Proprietary ChatGPT for Enhanced Security and Collaboration
KPMG Australia has unveiled KymChat, its proprietary version of ChatGPT, developed in collaboration with KymTech and announced in March 2024. This new tool aims to enhance data security and boost efficiencies within the company.
KymChat, developed by KymTech, ensures client data remains within the KPMG environment, preventing any leakage. KPMG's Chief Digital Officer, John Munnelly, anticipates this tool will foster cross-team collaboration and streamline processes.
KPMG is among the few companies worldwide to create a private ChatGPT version, with Microsoft's support. The company plans to expand KymChat's capabilities by training its own AI model for specific tasks in the future.
The launch of KymChat marks the beginning of KPMG's AI journey, with more AI products slated for release. Meanwhile, OpenAI's recent introduction of GPT-4, showcasing 'human-level performance' on various benchmarks, signals the advancing potential of AI technology.
Over 60 innovative use cases for KymChat have been proposed through an internal staff crowd-sourcing initiative. Initially, KymChat will focus on driving innovation and efficiency within KPMG, integrated with Microsoft Teams.
