Lamborghini debuts Telemetry X concept car at CES, featuring remote garage access, biometric data integration, and co-pilot technology.
Lamborghini Unveils Telemetry X: A Revolutionary Track Connectivity Concept
Automobili Lamborghini has announced the introduction of Telemetry X, a groundbreaking 'track connectivity' concept for their future super sports cars. The unveiling took place at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Telemetry X is a combination of three innovative systems: Real Time Remote Garage, Biometric Data System, and Digital Co-Pilot. These systems have been developed in collaboration with Accenture.
The Revuelto, Lamborghini's latest super sports car, has been used as a testbed for the Telemetry X technological demonstrator due to its introduction of breakthrough technologies.
The Real Time Remote Garage allows a coach, anywhere in the world, to monitor and provide feedback and suggestions during driving sessions. It also enables real-time video recordings and telemetry of on-track performance, available anytime.
The Digital Co-Pilot offers real-time assistance and guidance, providing suggestions for improving racing lines, braking points, and car performance on the track. It compares both biometric and vehicle data to provide feedback to the driver while on the track.
The Biometric Data System collects and analyses a driver's physiological data during track driving, focusing on the heart rate and stress level for enhanced performance monitoring.
The Huracán STO, another Lamborghini super sports car, debuted in 2020 with a telemetry system that can be used via the Unica app.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated that Telemetry X is a preview of the connected services customers will experience in the coming years. Rouven Mohr, Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer, commented that Telemetry X demonstrates how motorsport technologies can be applied to road-going super sports cars.
The consumption and emission values for the Revuelto are as follows: Fuel consumption combined: 10.3 l/100km (WLTP), Power consumption combined: 78.1 kWh/100 Km (WLTP), CO2-emissions combined: 276 g/km (WLTP).
Telemetry X is not just about performance enhancement; it's about creating a more immersive and enjoyable driving experience. With Telemetry X, Lamborghini is setting a new standard for connected services in the automotive industry.
The future of Lamborghini super sports cars is here, and it's more connected than ever. With Telemetry X, drivers can expect a more personalised, interactive, and efficient driving experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development.
