The Lucid Group, a Silicon Valley-based company dedicated to creating the most advanced electric vehicles globally, has unveiled its latest offering - the Lucid Gravity electric SUV. The vehicle was showcased at the 2023 LA Auto Show, and it's set to make waves in the electric vehicle market.
Capacity and Versatility
The Lucid Gravity is designed to accommodate up to seven adults and offers up to 120 cubic feet of cargo space. This versatile electric SUV is capable of serving as a cargo-swallowing vehicle for family camping trips and a long-range grand tourer.
Advanced Technology and Performance
The Lucid Gravity utilizes Lucid's advanced electric powertrain technology for a smooth and agile driving experience. It boasts the Clearview Cockpit, a 34-inch curved OLED display, aligned perfectly with the driver's line of sight. The SUV also features an optional three-chamber air suspension to adapt to various terrains.
Lucid Gravity Grand Touring and Touring Trims
The initial offering of the Lucid Gravity will be the Grand Touring trim, priced at $94,900. This high-performance version delivers over 800 horsepower and has a projected range of over 440 miles. Production for the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring is set for late 2024.
Later in 2025, Lucid is expected to introduce the more affordable Lucid Gravity Touring, priced at $79,900.
International Pricing and Delivery Details
In the U.S., the base Gravity Grand Touring starts around $94,900; off-road or higher-end variants may exceed $100,000. For European markets, Lucid is preparing the launch but has not yet disclosed specific pricing, order, configuration, or delivery timelines.
Delivery details internationally are limited at this time. Lucid began limited Gravity production in late 2024 with initial deliveries only to employees, friends, and family, and is currently addressing production bottlenecks to ramp up customer deliveries.
A Striking Design
Derek Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Design and Brand at Lucid, stated that the Lucid Gravity was designed to maximize spaciousness, aerodynamic efficiency, and utility while seamlessly fusing form and function, resulting in a visually striking and luxurious vehicle.
Lucid Group is gearing up to start production of the Lucid Gravity SUV at its state-of-the-art factory in Arizona.
With its advanced technology, premium design, and impressive performance, the Lucid Gravity is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. Current Lucid customers will be given priority for first deliveries of the Lucid Gravity.
