Longest Middle Eastern LED screen propelled by SpinetiX devices
In the heart of Dubai, where the Burj Khalifa skyscraper stands tall, a new visual spectacle has taken centre stage. The Dubai Fountain, the world's tallest fountain, is currently under renovation, but Emaar, its owner, sought to create an alternative tourist attraction. Enter the longest LED wall in the Middle East, a massive installation designed to wrap the promenade.
This project, a collaboration between integrator Blue Rhine Industries, SpinetiX's representative in the Middle East, Media La Vista, and SpinetiX technology, promises an immersive experience for visitors. The LED wall, measuring an impressive 418m by 3m, is built from INFiLED MV3.9 outdoor LED cabinets, covering a total area of 1,253sqm.
The power and management of this colossal LED wall are handled by SpinetiX's technology. Six SpinetiX iBX440 digital signage players drive the entire installation, ensuring seamless video content display across the wall. Meanwhile, SpinetiX Elementi software manages the content, allowing content designers to create and project images with sharp pixels and harmonious display across the wall.
The curved installation, designed to match the promenade's shape, requires precise management. Additionally, the LED wall is synchronised with the Burj Khalifa's nightly LED shows, ensuring a seamless and engaging visual experience. The installation process was completed in just 28 days, showcasing the efficiency and speed of the team.
John Joseph, director of Blue Rhine Industries, expressed that the project is one of the most interesting they've worked on in a long time. Despite initial hesitation, the project team at Blue Rhine Industries was confident and eager to take on the challenge. The hardware for the LED wall is sealed off behind temporary construction hoarding, maintaining the site.
The LED wall, located at the base of the Dubai Fountain, wraps around the entire promenade. Content creators can drag and drop content onto SpinetiX's software platform, Elementi, for easy management. The site is maintained through remote monitoring, ensuring the LED wall remains a captivating addition to the Dubai skyline until the Dubai Fountain reopens, scheduled for October.
SpinetiX's sync engine ensures that every pixel across both the LED canvas and Burj Khalifa's own LED facade are playing in harmony, providing a truly unforgettable visual experience. The installation of the LED wall at the Dubai Fountain took place in May this year, and it continues to draw crowds of visitors eager to witness this temporary, yet spectacular, attraction.
Visitors of the Dubai Fountain, now under renovation, can now enjoy an alternative tourist attraction: the longest LED wall in the Middle East, a massive installation designed to wrap the promenade. This project, a collaboration between Blue Rhine Industries, SpinetiX's Middle East representative Media La Vista, and SpinetiX technology, is built from INFiLED MV3.9 outdoor LED cabinets and features gadgets like SpinetiX iBX440 digital signage players and Spinetix Elementi software for content management. Despite initial hesitation, the team at Blue Rhine Industries found this project one of the most interesting they've worked on, as the LED wall is synchronized with the Burj Khalifa's nightly LED shows, providing a seamless and engaging visual experience, and showcases data-and-cloud-computing technology at its best.
