Meprolight M22 Pro Reflex Optic Impresses in Diverse Firearm Tests
Gun enthusiasts, take note. A recent test of the Meprolight M22 Pro reflex optic on various firearms has yielded impressive results. The optic, produced by Israeli company Meprolight, performed exceptionally well in diverse lighting conditions and distances.
The M22 Pro was put through its paces on a Mossberg 12-gauge 590 RM shotgun and a Bear Creek Arsenal AR-15 Complete 7.62x39mm rifle. It demonstrated its versatility, proving suitable for both tactical shotguns and AR-platform rifles.
The optic's performance was notable with both slugs and buckshot. A three-shot group with Fiocchi slugs measured just 2.2 inches center to center, with two slugs touching. The author's first shot with Champion LE Green Silhouette target resulted in nine 00 buckshot pellets striking high over center. However, the second shot was a slug that drilled into the center area of the target, followed by a blast of Federal buckshot clustering to the left of the slug's hole.
The Meprolight M22 Pro, with its fiber-optic illumination for daylight visibility and tritium vials for nighttime clarity, offers a generous sight picture and solid controls. It retails at an MSRP of $579.99 and is backed by Meprolight's reputation as a prime supplier to the Israel Defense Force. With its robust housing and 1.5-inch height-over-bore, the M22 Pro is a reliable choice for shooters seeking a high-quality reflex optic.
