The Filmkreis-Langenfeld, a film club open to all enthusiasts, invites everyone to join their bi-weekly meetings held at the Wiescheider-Treff from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.

During these meetings, members have been focusing on Chroma Keying, a technique used to remove a specific colour from a video background, usually green. While PowerPoint and OpenOffice Impress, the tools used by the Filmkreis-Langenfeld for slide creation, do not have built-in chroma key features, they can be combined with other tools to achieve this effect.

For instance, members create attractive slides on their laptops using PowerPoint or OpenOffice Impress. These slides will later be integrated into a video editing software for the final production. To incorporate a virtual background in a presentation video, members record themselves in front of a green screen, and the background is replaced using dedicated video editing software with chroma key capabilities.

To achieve chroma keying for a video that includes PowerPoint or Impress content, the process typically involves exporting the slides or recorded presentation as a video, using a dedicated video editor like Filmora, Clipchamp, or Adobe Premiere to overlay the green screen footage on top of the PowerPoint video or background, and applying chroma keying in that video editor to remove the green background from the video.

The Filmkreis-Langenfeld welcomes film enthusiasts without commitment, and it doesn't matter if one films with a smartphone or a camcorder to join. Interested individuals are invited to drop by the meetings and contribute to the club's projects.

Whether you're a seasoned filmmaker or a beginner, the Filmkreis-Langenfeld offers a friendly and welcoming environment to learn and share your passion for filmmaking. So, if you're intrigued by the world of Chroma Keying or simply want to meet like-minded individuals, consider joining the Filmkreis-Langenfeld.

The Filmkreis-Langenfeld, a club open to all enthusiasts, not only focuses on film screening but also embraces the use of technology in their bi-weekly meetings, as they have been exploring Chroma Keying, a digital technique used for video editing. During these meetings, members combine PowerPoint or OpenOffice Impress with dedicated video editing software like Filmora or Adobe Premiere to achieve chroma keying for their projects, reflecting the integration of lifestyle and technology in their work.
