The much-anticipated return of the Nissan Micra is just around the corner, with the first deliveries scheduled for early 2026. This time, the Micra is making a comeback as an all-electric vehicle, manufactured at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France.

The new Micra is based on the Renault AmpR Small platform, shared with the Renault 5 EV, and comes with two powertrain variants. The base version boasts a power output of 90 kW and a battery capacity of 40 kWh, offering up to 317 kilometers of range. The higher-end version, available exclusively in the "Evolve" trim, boasts a power output of 110 kW and a battery capacity of 52 kWh, offering a range of about 416 km (260 miles) WLTP.

The "Engage" base trim, compatible only with the weaker motorization, comes with features such as climate control, heat pump, smart key, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration. The "Advance" trim, priced at 30,000 euros, includes a larger driver display, ambient lighting, additional assistance systems, and Google services.

The "Advance" trim is not the most expensive option, however. That title goes to the "Evolve" trim, priced at 35,000 euros. This top-tier trim includes features like heated seats and steering wheel, premium audio, V2L function, and 18-inch wheels.

The new Nissan Micra is equipped with the Nissan Charge App, providing access to over a million charging points in Europe. This makes electric driving even more convenient for owners of the new Micra.

It's worth noting that the new Micra finds itself in a competitive market, with the Renault 5 E-Tech having a similar price range. With its stylish design, modern amenities, and environmentally-friendly electric powertrain, the new Nissan Micra is sure to turn heads and attract attention when it hits the roads in early 2026.
