Nissan's First Electric Micra Arrives in 2026 With Bold Design and Impressive Range
Nissan has revealed the sixth-generation Micra, its first fully electric model, set to launch in early 2026. The compact car brings a refreshing edge to the EV market with its bold design and worry-free range.
The new Micra is built on the AmpR small-car platform, shared with the Renault 5 E-Tech, and will be produced in France at the Douai plant. It offers sharp handling and a fun drive, despite its compact size. The car features a long wheelbase, providing 326 litres of boot space and the ability to tow up to 500kg.
Two battery options are available: a 40kWh pack with up to 317km WLTP range and a 52kWh option offering up to 416km. Both support 100kW DC fast-charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and are future-ready for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) integration.
Inside, the Micra boasts a modern, tech-focused interior with Google built-in services like Maps and Assistant, full app support, and remote battery monitoring via the NissanConnect app. Safety features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking come standard.
The all-new Micra is Nissan's first step in its EV product offensive in Europe, with four fully electric cars planned by 2027. With its bold design, impressive range, and comprehensive features, the Micra brings a confident and capable addition to the compact EV segment.
