The tech world is abuzz with rumours about the upcoming OnePlus 15, the next flagship smartphone from the popular brand. If the leaks are to be believed, OnePlus is set to shake things up with a fresh design, a larger battery, and an updated camera setup.

One of the most significant changes rumoured for the OnePlus 15 is a shift away from the circular camera island that has been a staple of the brand's flagship models. Instead, the device is said to feature a smaller square matrix in the upper left corner, a departure from the sizable circular camera blocks used in previous models like the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12, and OnePlus 11.

Moreover, it appears that OnePlus is looking to keep things fresh for its next handset, following Apple's rumoured design change for the iPhone 17 series. The brand has been using the same general design for its last three flagship handsets, so a redesign is certainly due.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus 15 is expected to use Qualcomm's rumoured next-gen flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. This move is in line with previous OnePlus models, which have consistently used Qualcomm's top-tier chipsets.

Another notable change is the battery capacity. Several reports suggest OnePlus is targeting a much larger battery (around 7,000 mAh) for notably improved battery life. To match this, the device is also rumoured to retain very fast wired charging, with speeds around 100W.

As for the camera setup, rumours suggest a reworked system, possibly a triple-lens setup including a 50MP main sensor and a periscope telephoto on some versions. However, there is some uncertainty about the continued Hasselblad branding/co-engineering. Some reports say OnePlus may drop Hasselblad for base 15 models, though a renewed partnership was also reported in one article.

Lastly, it's rumoured that OnePlus could launch multiple 15-series models (15, 15 Pro, 15T/15s or compact variants). The device is said to be unveiled in China in October with a global release in early 2026.

While these are just rumours at this point, they certainly paint an exciting picture for the OnePlus 15. As always, we'll keep our eyes peeled for any official confirmations or updates.

With the rumors revolving around the OnePlus 15, it seems the tech world is eagerly awaiting the brand's shift from circular to a smaller square camera matrix. This redesigned setup marks a departure from the circular camera blocks used in recent models like the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12, and OnePlus 11. Additionally, technology enthusiasts are looking forward to the potential upgrade in smartphones, as OnePlus is reportedly planning to equip the OnePlus 15 with cutting-edge features like Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, promising improved performance and battery life.
