The Copper Symposium 2025, hosted by the Copper Association (Kupferverband e.V.), is set to take place on November 12 and 13 in the historic town of Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. This will mark the 19th edition of the event, which brings together professionals from the copper industry, academia, and research institutions for a platform of professional exchange.
The Copper Symposium 2025 promises an engaging programme, with over 20 high-caliber lectures covering topics such as simulation and modeling, digitalization and artificial intelligence, material design, surface technology, additive manufacturing, joining and manufacturing technology, and the circular economy. The event also includes an interactive poster session, a trade exhibition, and numerous networking opportunities.
For those interested in gaining further insights, four thematically diverse excursions will be offered on the second day of the symposium. These excursions provide glimpses into current research projects, industrial visits, archaeological sites, and historic sites. Notable among these is a tour of the fem research institute, a visit to Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH, an archaeological tour in the Rotebach Valley, and a guided tour of the historic Ott-Pausersche Silberwarenfabrik.
A special highlight for participants on the first day is a festive evening at the historic Lorch Monastery. This event includes a reception, monastery tour, and a sumptuous banquet.
